Welcome to Hotell Järvsö
In the village Älvsätra, situated 3 kilometres from Järvsö, you find a large, yellow building called Hotell Järvsö.
The house was originally built in 1847, when a small country shop was opened. During the later decades the old shop has been replaced by a motel business, run as a family company. In the old dining room you can enjoy wallpaintings made by the legendary Fredrik Winblad von Walter. The paintings are dated 1910 and display scenery from life in the old days.
The Weinberg family ran the motel during four decades. In July 2006 we, the Hertzman family, took over and changed the name to Hotell Järvsö. We will carry on the tradition of friendly atmosphere that the Weinbergs once started.
When looking for a cosy hotel with family traditions, peace and quiet, easily accessed from the main road, this is the place to stay. Welcome to us at Hotell Järvsö!
